Roger Daltrey – “After the Fire” Roger Daltrey’s 1985 solo album, “Under a Raging Moon,” is a fantastic piece of work that I highly recommend. This song was written by Pete Townshend, and Daltrey, as always, makes it sound golden. The video is fairly simple, but the artistic imagery of fire and Daltrey’s electric charisma as a performer make it a powerful piece of work. While the song has some dated references to videotapes and Dom DeLuise, the thematic material and emotional power of it remains strong and true to this day, and this music video reflects that amazingly well. “After the Fire” is one of my favorite songs of all time. |
